According to LOT Polish Airlines’ booking system, the Polish national carrier will fly to Thessaloniki exclusively during the summer season, suspending the service during the winter months.
LOT Polish Airlines’ direct service from Warsaw-Chopin to Thessaloniki was announced in 2025 as a year-round route. Unlike last year, this will not be the case during the 2026/27 winter season. The last flight from Warsaw to Greece’s second-largest city will take place on 24 October, and the service will resume on 28 March 2027. Until the end of October, the route will operate as it does currently, with daily flights, and this is expected to continue from March next year, although there may still be some changes. Why have flights to Thessaloniki been cancelled for the winter? Most likely, LOT’s management decided that this route is not profitable enough for the winter season, so it is better to redeploy resources and aircraft to other routes for the few cold months.
