From 1 July 2026, all travellers to Vietnam will be required to complete a special online health declaration before arrival. The regulations will apply to entry, exit and transit through Vietnam.
The Vietnamese authorities have introduced a new entry requirement, which all tourists planning a holiday in the country must bear in mind. From 1 July 2026, every traveller crossing the Vietnamese border, whether on arrival, departure or in transit, will be required to submit a health declaration. What will this involve? It is a simple, short form in English (or Vietnamese), which must be completed online and saved on your phone or printed out and filled in by hand within seven days prior to travel. It will apply to everyone, regardless of passport, visa type or method of crossing the Vietnamese border. The declarations are to be checked at the borders by health officials, which may prolong the passport control process.
