First the design, then the vote on the name, and now the unveiling – at the start of June, we were introduced to the new mascot of Krakow-Balice Airport, Krakuś.
On 1 June, the official presentation of the new airport mascot took place in Balice, near Kraków. The mascot is a friendly, turquoise dragon named Krakuś, who will now promote the airport on social media and, above all, accompany the youngest travellers in the airport terminal before their journey. His name was chosen in an open vote on the airport’s Facebook page. The choice is no coincidence – both the name and the character – as it fits in with the Krakow Dragon Trail, a tourist trail around Krakow with fascinating references to dragons. What do you think of the new mascot for Balice Airport? Let us know!
