Airports in Hanoi and on Phu Quoc Island are joining Ho Chi Minh City Airport in requiring travellers to complete a special electronic declaration in advance and generate a QR code required during passport control.
In April we reported on the new entry regulations for Vietnam at Ho Chi Minh City Airport. Under the new rules, every traveller must complete a special electronic declaration and generate a QR code prior to arrival, which will be required during passport control. Officially known as the ‘pre-arrival form’, this electronic entry declaration has been in force since 15 April at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. Vietnam has updated its regulations and from 1 June, the same electronic declaration must be completed prior to arrival on Phu Quoc Island, and from 15 June also at Hanoi Airport.
