On 1 March, Czech railway company Leo Express will launch a domestic connection from Warsaw to Krakow in Poland. This will be an extension of the route from Prague to Krakow to Warsaw.
PKP Intercity is gaining strong competition on the most important railway route in Poland. From 1 March 2026, the route from Warsaw to Krakow will be operated by the private Czech railway company Leo Express. This route will be an extension of the existing connection from Krakow to Prague, so Leo Express will also connect Warsaw and Prague directly. Journeys between the two largest cities in Poland will take place twice a day:
The journey time will be 2 hours and 45 minutes. On the way, the trains will stop at stations in Opoczno and Włoszczowa. The train from Warsaw (stopping at Warsaw East, Central and West) will continue on to Prague, and the journey will take over 8 hours with stops in Opoczno, Włoszczowa, Krakow, Jaworzno, Mysłowice, Tychy, Rybnik, Racibórz, Oświęcim, and on the Czech side in Bohumin, Ostrava, Studenka, Suchdol nad Odrou, Hranice na Moravě, Přerov, Olomouc, Zábřeh na Moravě, Uštěk nad Orlicí, Pardubice, Kolín, ending its run in Prague.
What are the ticket prices for the new Leo Express route from Warsaw to Krakow? Very low! Promotional economy class tickets are available from as little as PLN 9 per person. Tickets from Warsaw to Prague start at PLN 49 one way per person. There are four travel classes available: Economy, Economy Plus, Business and Premium.
