Passengers planning to travel with Finnair must prepare for serious disruptions. Due to the strike announced for Monday, 19 May, at Helsinki Airport, the Finnish airline is cancelling approximately 110 flights, including connections from Poland.
The Finnish aviation union Ilmailualan Unioni (IAU) is responsible for organising the protest action and has announced a strike at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The protest will affect several work shifts and thus disrupt the airport's operations, including customer service and ground handling.
Due to the strike, Finnair is cancelling approximately 110 flights scheduled for Monday. The cancelled flights include two flights between Finland and Poland – one from Warsaw and one from Krakow. The carrier assures that all passengers whose flights are cancelled will be immediately informed of the situation and possible options for further action.
