Burj Al Arab has been closed for a comprehensive renovation. The property has been closed since April 1, 2026, and the renovation is expected to last approximately 18 months.
Burj Al Arab, which has been considered one of the world’s most exclusive hotels since its opening in 1999, is undergoing its first major renovation. This is a historic moment for the property, which has set the standard for luxury in the hospitality industry for over two decades.
Renovation work will be carried out in phases and will include a wide range of upgrades to the hotel’s interiors and infrastructure. The goal of the project is to refresh the property’s image while preserving its character.
Renowned Parisian interior designer Tristan Auer is responsible for the new design concept. His task is to combine modern design with the timeless elegance for which the hotel is famous.
