Dubai continues to expand its public transportation infrastructure. The Roads and Transport Authority has just completed a landmark project involving the installation of hundreds of modern bus shelters at key locations across the emirate.
As part of the completed project, the RTA installed 726 modern bus shelters at key locations throughout Dubai. This investment represents a significant step toward improving comfort for public transit passengers.
The new shelters have been strategically placed in areas with the highest passenger traffic. They serve over 192 million bus passengers annually, which demonstrates the scale of public transport use in the emirate. Such a large number of users underscores the importance of investing in the development of bus stop infrastructure as an element of an efficiently functioning urban system.
