Dubai International Airport is set to be phased out in the future, and all flight operations will be transferred to Al Maktoum International Airport.
According to plans, all flights are to be transferred to DWC between 2032 and 2035. Al Maktoum Airport has been in operation since 2010 and is being prepared to take over the role of Dubai’s main airport.
The new airport is intended to provide greater capacity for passenger and cargo traffic growth and meet the growing needs of global air transport. The transformation of Dubai’s airport system will be one of the largest infrastructure projects in the history of the aviation industry.
