Wrocław Airport is embarking on the next phase of its development. The airport has signed a contract for the development of a concept and full design documentation for the expansion of the passenger terminal, which will bring significant changes to the infrastructure and passenger services.
Wrocław Airport has entered into an agreement with a consortium comprising AKE Studio and WLC Inżynierowie. These companies will be responsible for preparing the architectural and functional concept as well as the full design documentation for the reconstruction and expansion of the passenger terminal.
The project involves a comprehensive expansion of the terminal—both eastward and westward. As a result, the facility’s floor area could even double, significantly improving passenger service. The investment also includes the development of supporting infrastructure. One of the key elements will be the construction of approximately 1,600 new parking spaces, which will facilitate access to the airport for both travelers and those dropping off passengers.
Once the project is completed, the terminal’s capacity will increase to approximately 10 million passengers per year. This represents a significant leap compared to current capacity.
