The United Arab Emirates is steadily strengthening its position in the global space sector. In 2026, the country plans to launch new initiatives aimed not only at advancing knowledge and technology but also at increasing the space industry’s contribution to the national economy.
The United Arab Emirates is pursuing an ambitious vision for the development of the space industry based on the adopted National Space Strategy 2031. This document sets out long-term goals, the achievement of which is expected to significantly strengthen the role of the space sector in the country’s economy. The strategy aims, among other things, to double revenue from the space economy and position the UAE among the top 10 space economies in the world by 2031.
The National Space Strategy is based on three key pillars. The first is building a resilient and investor-friendly space sector that will attract both local and international entities. The second objective is to strengthen global partnerships and facilitate access to international markets, which is intended to increase the competitiveness of Emirati projects.
The third pillar concerns the development of modern infrastructure and facilities that will enable advanced research and the implementation of ambitious space missions.
