Dubai has gained a new seaside attraction. On May 5, Khor Al Mamzar—a new, vast beach that is part of the 500-million-dirham Al Mamzar Beaches initiative—was officially opened.
The opening of Khor Al Mamzar marks the first phase of the large-scale Al Mamzar Beaches project, aimed at further developing the city’s coastal infrastructure. Once the entire project is complete, the Al Mamzar beaches are expected to attract over seven million tourists annually.
One of the most important pieces of information for tourists is that admission to the new beach remains free. Thanks to this, Khor Al Mamzar has the potential to become one of the most popular waterfront leisure destinations in the emirate.
As part of the project, new fitness and sports facilities have been built to encourage outdoor physical activity. One of the most distinctive features of the new space is also a floating walkway, which is set to become one of the beach’s biggest attractions.
