One of the world’s oldest airlines, EgyptAir, has unveiled a retro livery for its Boeing B737-800. The colours are inspired by the carrier’s historic liveries from the 1970s and 1980s, celebrating the airline’s 95th anniversary.
On 7 May 2026, during the celebrations marking EgyptAir’s 95th anniversary, Egypt’s national carrier unveiled the unique livery of one of its aircraft to the gathered crowd. The Boeing B737-800 has been given a retro livery, reminiscent of the colours used by the carrier in the 1970s and 1980s, which serves as a tribute to EgyptAir’s heritage and the rich history of the Egyptian airline. The aircraft, sporting this beautiful livery, will now continue its service on regional and medium-haul flights. Spotting it at the airport is certainly a real treat for fans of aviation and retro style.
