Katowice Airport has had a record-breaking start to the year. The first quarter of 2026 ended with the airport’s best-ever results—both in terms of the number of flight operations and passengers served.
From January through the end of March 2026, Katowice Airport recorded 9,282 takeoffs and landings. That is 410 more than in the same period of 2025, representing a 4.6% increase.
The first quarter also saw a significant increase in the number of travelers. Scheduled flights carried 687,786 passengers—30,230 more than a year earlier. Even more impressive results were achieved in the charter flight segment. During the first three months of 2026, 436,467 people used them, which is 21,029 more than in the same period of 2025.
