Under new Turkish regulations, passengers on intercity buses will be able to return their tickets up to 12 hours before departure to receive a full refund, and also reschedule their journey right up until the time of departure.
The new Turkish regulations are primarily intended to make life easier for the country’s residents, but they are certainly good news for tourists travelling around Turkey on local coaches and long-distance buses. As reported on hurriyetdailynews.com, the new regulations entitle passengers to a full refund for a cancelled journey from the operator, provided the passenger cancels at least 12 hours before the scheduled departure. Another improvement is the requirement for coach operators to offer so-called “open tickets”, which will allow passengers to change their travel dates up to the moment the coach departs, without incurring any additional charges.
