Croatia to introduce vignettes on highways from 2026

The Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure has officially confirmed reports that have been circulating for several months: at the end of the 2026 summer season, Croatia will introduce vignettes on its highways. Vignettes will replace the classic taxes paid at toll gates when exiting a selected section of the motorway. Unfortunately, the answer to the question: when will vignettes be introduced on motorways in Croatia? is: only after the 2026 holiday season, so most tourists will not benefit from the new rules until the 2027 holidays.

The vignettes will cover the entire highway network in Croatia. It will be possible to purchase vignettes online. How much will vignettes cost in Croatia?
