Where did Poles fly to last year

The Civil Aviation Authority has released statistics on air traffic from Poland for 2025. The top spot remains unchanged, but there are a few surprises.

Every year, the Polish Civil Aviation Authority publishes statistics on air traffic in Poland. This table shows the number of passengers handled at Polish airports by city for international scheduled traffic. The latest version of the table presents data from 2025 and a comparison with 2024. Let’s take a look at the statistics ⬇️

What can we deduce from the above statistics?

  • London remains the undisputed leader, with a significant lead over the other cities and a market share of almost 10%.
  • The podium is completed by Milan and Rome, which were just off the podium last year, signalling a rise in the importance of these two largest Italian cities for travel from Poland.
  • Somewhat unexpectedly, Frankfurt and Oslo have dropped out of the top ranks; these two airports, which are extremely important for travellers from Poland, are losing ground to Rome and Milan.
  • Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Monaco and Stockholm maintain their positions in the TOP 10 and just behind.
  • Alicante continues to grow, rising from 14th to 12th place with nearly 1 million passengers in 2025.
  • Malta has seen huge growth. Its rise from 19th to 14th place is just the start of a trend, reflecting the island’s extraordinary popularity among Poles.
  • Dubai has dropped one place, from 18th to 19th, despite the fact that routes to Dubai carried 50,000 more passengers year-on-year.
  • Brussels has seen its importance decline, falling from 13th to 15th place.
