The Uzbek carrier is preparing for a potential entry into the Polish market. Uzbekistan Airways has secured operating slots for the summer season at Warsaw Chopin Airport. This means the carrier could begin flights to the Polish capital as early as the end of March.
Obtaining slots means that Uzbekistan Airways has the ability to conduct flight operations at specific times at the Warsaw airport. Such allocations are a key step in the process of launching new routes. The slots were granted for the upcoming summer season, suggesting that the carrier is seriously considering entering the market for connections between Poland and Central Asia.
According to available information, potential flights could take place once a week—on Mondays. If the route is launched, it would be the first direct route operated by the Uzbek carrier between Uzbekistan and Poland. The new route could connect Warsaw with Tashkent—the carrier’s main hub and, at the same time, the largest city in Uzbekistan.
