The United Arab Emirates is introducing new regulations regarding the use of social media by children and adolescents. The goal of these changes is to increase the safety of the youngest internet users.
A new government resolution sets the minimum age for using social media platforms at 15. Children under this age will not be able to create or use private accounts or access the full functionality of these services. Individuals aged 15 to 16 will still be able to use social media, but under stricter rules designed to improve safety and limit online risks.
