Wizz Air’s popular route from Gdańsk to Poprad in Slovakia will return sooner than originally planned. Flights will resume in September rather than October.
The high popularity of the Gdańsk–Poprad route has clearly influenced the Hungarian carrier’s decision. Wizz Air had originally planned to resume this service after the summer break at the end of October this year. However, there have been changes to the flight schedule, and the first flight after the break – from the Slovak Tatra Mountains to the Polish seaside – will take place on 17 September. The route will operate twice a week: on Thursdays and Sundays. Interestingly, it was not demand from Poland that led to the earlier resumption of flights on this route, but the extraordinary popularity of Gdańsk and the Polish seaside amongst travellers from Slovakia.
