A historic result in the middle of winter. Krakow Airport ended February with a record result, handling over a million passengers and confirming its position as one of the fastest growing airports in Europe.
In February, Krakow Airport handled exactly 1,012,028 passengers. This is an impressive result, especially considering the winter nature of the month, which is traditionally weaker in terms of air traffic.
Compared to the same period last year, this represents an increase of 155,000 travelers, or as much as 18 percent. Such dynamic growth confirms the growing interest in both tourist and business traffic in the Małopolska region.
Additionally, according to data from ACI Europe, Kraków Airport was the fastest growing major airport in Europe. The airport ended the year with a result of +19.5 percent, outperforming many larger and more established hubs on the continent.
