airBaltic is launching three new routes from Poland to Gran Canaria in Spain. Flights from Warsaw, Katowice and Poznań will commence as early as the end of October this year.
The Latvian airline airBaltic will be flying Polish passengers to the Canary Islands... sounds like a mistake? Perhaps, but it isn’t! This is one of the strangest news stories of the year, but also one of the best pieces of news this year. From the end of October 2025, airBaltic will fly from Warsaw-Chopin, Poznań and Katowice to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. The airline, known for its direct flights to Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn, has had a base in Gran Canaria since 2023, enabling it to operate new routes from the Canary Islands. Tickets are already on sale from €299 for a return flight, but what are the exact details?
Flights from Warsaw-Chopin to Las Palmas will commence on 25 October, and the following day, 26 October, airBaltic will launch services from Katowice and Poznań. Each route will operate twice a week: from Warsaw on Thursdays and Sundays, from Katowice on Mondays and Thursdays, and from Poznań on Mondays and Fridays. Following the announcement of these new routes, we can only wait for the sales figures and passenger feedback, as airBaltic’s seasonal flights to the Canary Islands from Poland have the potential to be a big hit.
