The final stage of the reconstruction of a 700-meter section of the runway at the Ulma Family Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport.

Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport named after the Ulm Family has entered the final stage of the investment! Construction work related to the concreting of the operational part of the runway has been completed. This is the foundation for the future of the airport, which is becoming an increasingly important transport and logistics hub in this part of the Eastern Poland macroregion.

The investment is being carried out as part of the EU's Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program and is of strategic importance: it will ensure greater durability, safety, and functionality of the runway, enabling it to handle increasing air traffic, both civil and, if necessary, military. Thanks to modern concreting technology, the new surface will be more resistant to intensive use and changing weather conditions.

“The implementation of this high-budget investment project is still proceeding according to the agreed schedule and, most importantly, does not adversely affect ongoing passenger and cargo operations,” says Adam Hamryszczak, President of the Management Board of the Ulm Family Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport.
Strabag, a leader in the implementation of innovative technologies in the construction industry, is responsible for the execution of the works.

"Work on such a strategic facility as an airport road requires precision, experience, and close coordination. We are rebuilding a 700-meter section using modern technologies and the highest quality standards. We are proud to be part of a project that will serve passengers and carriers for decades to come," emphasizes Janusz Bucior, representative of Strabag.

Throughout the entire implementation period, construction work is being carried out in such a way as to ensure continuity of flight services and minimize the impact of the investment on current operations. Currently, work is underway to restore navigation lighting and horizontal markings, as well as finishing work on the section of the runway undergoing reconstruction.

The project is co-financed by European funds under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), which aims to develop key transport infrastructure in Europe.
