One of Europe's largest and most recognizable low-cost airlines, easyJet, is celebrating its 30th birthday, marking three decades of dynamic growth, millions of passengers, and the revolution it has brought to travel across the continent.
The history of the British airline easyJet began on November 10, 1995, when the carrier's first ever flight took off. The plane flew from London Luton to Glasgow with 122 passengers on board. That day marked the beginning of a new era of low-cost flying in Europe.
What started with one plane and one route quickly grew into one of the most important networks on the continent. Over the past 30 years, easyJet has consistently expanded its operations, offering affordable, accessible, and flexible travel to millions of people every year.
