December is shaping up to be a record-breaking month at Dubai International Airport. At the peak of the travel season, almost 5 million passengers are expected to pass through DXB, making this month one of the busiest of the year.
The approaching holiday season, combined with the start of school holidays in Dubai and numerous events organized in the emirate, is causing exceptionally high traffic at DXB. Airlines operating at the airport predict that over 2.3 million travelers will depart from Dubai in December, with another 2.5 million arriving. Such a large number of passengers means intensive operation of all terminals and full readiness of ground handling and port services.
December is traditionally one of the most popular months in Dubai's tourist calendar. Perfect weather, a rich calendar of events, and numerous promotions encourage tourists from all over the world to visit the emirate. As a result, DXB airport, the largest international hub, is preparing for an intense influx of visitors.
