Icelandair aircraft

Iceland's national airline will fly to Poland for the first time. Icelandair will launch a route from Gdańsk to Keflavík Airport, Iceland's largest international airport.

The new route will be launched on 18 September and will operate 3 to 4 times a week: until the end of October, 3 times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from the end of October, a fourth, Saturday rotation will be added. This is the first route in the history of Iceland's national airline to Poland. Initially, Icelandair will connect Gdańsk with Reykjavik International Airport, i.e. Keflavík Airport, located about 50 kilometres from the capital. This is excellent news for the large Polish community living on the island and for tourists, whose interest in Iceland has grown significantly in recent years. This is not surprising, as many consider it to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Icelandair's new route has two additional advantages. The first is the possibility of connecting flights to North America on a single ticket. The Icelandic carrier's flight schedule includes destinations such as Chicago, Boston, Baltimore, Denver, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Portland, Seattle and Washington in the United States, Toronto, Halifax, Vancouver in Canada, as well as airports in the Faroe Islands and Greenland. The second advantage is the possibility of using the stopover option when transferring in Iceland. When booking a transatlantic ticket, you can choose the length of your stopover, from 1 to 7 days, and even explore the whole of Iceland during your transfer.
