AirAsia to resume flights to London

After almost 14 years of absence, AirAsia will re-enter the British market. In June, the carrier will launch a new route from Kuala Lumpur to London Gatwick, offering passengers an affordable alternative for travel between Southeast Asia and the UK.

The new route will connect Kuala Lumpur with London Gatwick Airport, with flights operating via Bahrain. This is another attempt by the AirAsia group to return to the market for flights between Malaysia and the UK, which the carrier has operated in the past.

The decision to resume flights is part of a strategy to rebuild and expand the long-haul network after a period of restrictions in the aviation industry. London remains one of the most important destinations for travelers from Asia, both for tourism and business purposes.

Flights to the United Kingdom will be operated by AirAsia X, a Capital A Group company specializing in medium- and long-haul flights from Kuala Lumpur. The carrier will use a one-stop connection model to optimize operating costs and maintain competitive ticket prices.
