Hungarian airline Wizz Air has removed four connections from Polish airports from its booking system. The changes affect routes from Gdańsk, Warsaw and Katowice.
The biggest cuts affect the Gdańsk airport. Wizz Air is suspending connections to Valencia and Malmö. The route to Spain was scheduled to run all year round, but the carrier has decided to cancel it anyway. Flights to Malmö, which were only supposed to operate during the summer season, have also been removed.
Flights from Warsaw to Olbia in Sardinia have also disappeared from the booking system. This is another limitation of Wizz Air's offer for passengers travelling from Poland to popular holiday destinations. The changes also include Katowice, where the route to Copenhagen has been suspended. Wizz Air has not given official reasons for the cuts, but the decision is likely to be due to low interest in the flights or optimisation of the route network.
