From 29 March, Wizz Air flights to the Bulgarian capital will operate from Chopin Airport instead of Modlin.
A few days ago, we reported that Wizz Air had changed its Warsaw airport for flights to Basel from Chopin Airport to Warsaw-Modlin Airport. The change will take effect on 29 March. According to the flight schedule, there will be another change on the same date, but in the opposite direction; the route will be moved from Modlin to Warsaw Chopin Airport. This concerns the connection to Sofia. Flights to the Bulgarian capital will operate from Warsaw Chopin Airport from 29 March, with a frequency of four flights a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
This is most likely the result of optimising the route network for the summer season. The change will make it easier for residents of Warsaw and the surrounding area to take city breaks in the Bulgarian capital or enjoy longer visits to Sofia.
