According to the Azerbaijani news portal Caliber.az, Wizz Air is close to launching a route from Baku to Warsaw. In addition, the Hungarian airline would fly from the capital of Azerbaijan to Bratislava and Bucharest.
According to reports in the Azerbaijani media, representatives of Wizz Air met with representatives of Azerbaijan's national airline, Azerbaijan Airlines. The topic of the talks was the launch of new routes to Europe. The result of the meeting is to be a new route from Baku to Bratislava, most likely operated by the Hungarian airline. As stated, “in the near future” there are plans to launch two more connections: to Bucharest and, also by Wizz Air, from Baku to Warsaw. We do not know any more details, but we do know that such a route could be a potential “small hit” and open up the possibility of cheap travel to Azerbaijan for travelers from Poland.
