At the beginning of January, Wizz Air announced the launch of a connection from Krakow to Budapest. Now Ryanair is entering the same route, starting with the Krakow-Budapest route on 29 March.
In a short time, Krakow has gained two new connections to the Hungarian capital, whereas a month ago it had none. From 29 March, Ryanair will launch flights from Krakow to Budapest with a frequency of two flights per week: on Thursdays and Sundays. The connection will operate until 18 October. The announcement of this route is obvious competition with Wizz Air, which was the first to add Krakow-Budapest flights to its booking system at the beginning of January. Until recently without a direct flight to the Hungarian capital, Krakow now has several options for travelling to Budapest, from Wizz Air or Ryanair flights, to PKP Intercity train journeys, to Flixbus coaches, which cover the route in a few hours.
