Ryanair has introduced the option of paying for flight tickets in instalments – you pay half now and the rest up to 40 days before departure.
Instalment payments for Ryanair tickets – how does it work? The Irish carrier has recently introduced this option for its passengers. You pay half of the ticket price at the time of booking and the rest up to 40 days before departure. This only applies to bookings with a total value of at least €100. This amount includes not only the ticket, but also additional services such as checked baggage or seat selection. Ryanair does not charge any commission for this new facility. The booking must be made at least 45 days before the scheduled departure. IMPORTANTLY, this payment option is not available for tickets purchased at the Basic fare, which is the option most often chosen by passengers. Only customers choosing Standard, Plus or Flexi Plus fare tickets can take advantage of the instalment payment option.
The instalment payment does not cover additional services offered by external partners, not Ryanair, such as car rental, travel insurance or airport transfers. The exception to the instalment payment amount is Fast Track. What happens if the remaining part of the ticket is not paid? In this case, the booking will be cancelled and the funds will be refunded to your MyRyanair account, where they will be valid for 12 months.
