Are you a digital nomad and dream of working from a beautiful country on the other side of the world? This is the perfect opportunity for you! New Zealand has simplified visa regulations to attract remote workers to come here.
Remote working is, in some cases, the comfort of working from anywhere in the world. Digital nomad is already a type of travel where people are accommodated in a country of their choice for a period of time and do their work from there. There are many attractive destinations for remote workers: the countries of Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam), Colombia, the Maldives or.... New Zealand! And it is the latter country that has facilitated regulations allowing remote workers to more easily stay in New Zealand for longer and do their work.
The New Zealand government has announced easier visa rules - people on tourist visas will be able to do remote work. In practice, therefore, visa-free citizens (90 days) can work for up to nine months in New Zealand - this is after a tourist visa has been granted. The condition is to perform work for a foreign employer.
