Turkish Airlines has added a new feature to its offer – passengers can now cancel their flight tickets free of charge up to 24 hours after booking and receive a full refund if certain conditions are met.
Turkish Airlines has added a new and very useful feature to its offer. From now on, passengers of the Turkish airline can cancel their booked ticket free of charge up to 24 hours after booking and receive a full refund. In order for the flight to be cancelled free of charge, the first scheduled flight on the booking must take place at least 7 days (168 hours) after the refund request (i.e. 7 days after the request is submitted, not less). The time is counted according to the exact hours, not calendar days.
Additional taxes, such as seat selection or extra baggage fees, are not included in the refund. The new feature only applies to tickets purchased on the official Turkish Airlines website or in the airline's app. Therefore, free refunds do not apply to tickets purchased from an agent. Tickets that have already been edited or changed are also excluded from this feature. The changes for passengers do not only apply to Turkish Airlines, but also to AJet on the same terms.
