During a visit to Poland last week, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính urged LOT Polish Airlines to launch a direct route from Warsaw to Hanoi.
LOT Polish Airlines has long stressed that it plans to launch a direct route from Poland to Vietnam. Two destinations are involved: From Warsaw to Hanoi and from Warsaw to Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon. LOT's last flight from Poland to Vietnam was thirteen years ago, when it suspended the connection from Warsaw to Hanoi because the flights were too unprofitable and business class was not filled.
However, a vision of resuming direct flights from Poland to Vietnam is on the horizon. A few days ago, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính paid an official visit to Poland. He urged representatives of LOT Polish Airlines to relaunch a connection from Warsaw to Hanoi. Strategic cooperation between LOT Polish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines would also be involved. We can expect the national Polish airline to announce the launch of direct flights from Poland to Vietnam this or next year.
