The British magazine Which? has once again recognized Krakow. The capital of Malopolska has won the title of the best city in Europe for a short trip for the fifth time – it was appreciated primarily for its prices, gastronomic offer, and favorable quality-to-cost ratio of a stay.
This is the fifth time that Krakow has won the prestigious title of best European city break according to the Which? ranking. The city beat such metropolises as Paris, Rome, and Barcelona, gaining recognition from tourists and industry experts.
Krakow received the highest marks for the quality of accommodation, a rich gastronomic offer, ease of getting around the city, and an exceptionally favorable price-quality ratio. Particular mention was made of the attractive prices, which make the capital of Malopolska competitive with the largest European destinations. Interestingly, Krakow's gastronomy received better ratings than restaurants in Paris or Rome.
Krakow enjoys unflagging popularity among travelers. In 2024 alone, it was visited by over 8 million tourists, which shows that the awards go hand in hand with the growing interest in the city.
