The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has removed Cyprus from its list of travel advisories, lowering its security level to 1 – which is similar to that of Poland.
On 17 April 2026, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs changed the security level assigned to Cyprus. The warning list has been removed, assigning Cyprus a level 1 rating, practically identical to the security level in Poland. This means the Polish government considers Cyprus a safe destination for holidays and vacations, and insurers must treat Cyprus as a safe place for tourists to travel to. The Island of Aphrodite, which has been breaking popularity records among Polish travellers for over a year, has struggled with a massive slump in tourism over the past few weeks due to unrest caused by the war in the Middle East. This news is one of the few glimmers of hope for the island’s recovery from the crisis. Many tourists confirm that it remains a safe destination and there is no need to fear travelling there.
