Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak has announced that the Central Communication Port (CPK) will soon be given a new name. The decision is related to the desire to distance itself from the controversy that has recently arisen around the project.
As Minister Dariusz Klimczak announced, the government plans to change the name of the Central Communication Port in the near future. He explained that the current name has been “discredited by the recent scandal,” which has undermined its credibility in the eyes of the public.
The minister also pointed out that the current name, “Central Communication Port,” evokes undesirable associations with centralization during the communist era. For this reason, the Ministry of Infrastructure wants to give the project a new name that better reflects its modern and European character.
The name of the future airport has not yet been revealed. However, it is known that the name change is to be part of a new stage in the development of the CPK project and an attempt to rebuild public confidence in this investment.
