Wizz Air to launch domestic connection from Bratislava to Košice

A new international airport is being built in Bhutan. The airport is being built in the city of Gelephu, in the south of the country, near the border with India. A few days ago, the company responsible for the project, Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), presented the first visualisations of the airport.

The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has presented the first visualisations of the new airport in Gelephu in the south of Bhutan, near the border with India. The construction of the new airport was announced by the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and is to be part of the construction of the ‘mega city’ in Gelephu. The airport project is intended to reflect Bhutan's image as a sustainable and traditional country. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2029. See more visualisation images:
