From 3 April, Austrian Airlines will reduce the number of flights on the Krakow-Vienna route from 11 to 7 per week, exactly one per day, according to the airline's booking system.
The pessimistic scenario reported in recent articles on the pasażer.com portal has been confirmed. Krakow Airport will lose several weekly rotations to Vienna operated by Austrian Airlines. From 3 April, flights from Krakow to Vienna will be operated once a day throughout the week, giving a total of 7 flights per week. Previously, there were 11 rotations per week. Why has Austrian Airlines reduced the number of flights to Krakow from the Austrian capital? A few weeks ago, the Austrian airline terminated its cooperation with Braathens Regional Airways, which operated some of the flights on this route. Logistical problems due to this, fierce competition and other factors forced Austrian Airlines to make cuts in its flight schedule.
