Spiaggia di Tuerredda beach in Sardinia

One of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, located in Sardinia, Spiaggia di Tuerredda will be subject to a paid reservation system.

Tuerredda Beach, or Spaggia di Tuerredda in Italian, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. It is located in one of the southernmost points of the Italian island, 60 kilometres from the capital of Sardinia, Cagliari. Its golden sand and blue water resemble, and even surpass, the views of the Caribbean. From July this year, the azure sea and fun on Tuerredda beach will be subject to paid reservations.

In July, access to Spaggia di Tuerredda will be restricted for both tourists and residents. At any one time, no more than 1,100 people will be allowed on the beach. Entry will be possible after registering in advance on a special app, which will charge a tax of between €1 and €2 per person (the exact amount has not yet been determined). The booking system is intended to help combat overcrowding and excessive numbers of tourists.
