A new parking lot is being built at Katowice-Pyrzowice airport
900 new parking spaces will soon be built at Katowice Airport.
As many as 900 spaces for cars will be built in a newly constructed parking lot, implemented as part of the Katowice-Pyrzowice airport's investment program.
Construction of a new parking lot, designated P5, has begun at Katowice Pyrzowice Airport. Construction is taking place in the southeastern part of the airport. The project will build 900 new parking spaces for passengers. The total net value of the project is PLN 10.5 million, and it is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2025. According to Katowice Airport's official Facebook page, the airport will be able to offer passengers a combined total of about 6,700 parking spaces during the 2025 summer season thanks to the new investment .
This is not the last parking investment by Katowice Airport. Three more parking projects will begin in 2025 : the expansion of parking lot P1 to the west with 400 spaces, the expansion of parking lot P4 to the west with 450 spaces, and the second phase of parking lot 5, an eastward expansion with 1,100 new spaces. The end of the work is scheduled for the summer season of 2026.
