According to the Jordanian news agency JNA and the Jordan Times newspaper, Wizz Air will resume four connections from Aqaba, Jordan, including to Katowice and Warsaw. The flights are not yet available in the airline's booking system, but we can most likely expect these routes to return in the near future.
Jordanian Tourism Minister Emad Hijazin, quoted by the Jordanian news agency and the Jordan Times newspaper, announced that in the coming winter season, low-cost airlines will once again connect Jordan with 18 destinations across Europe. Among the restored routes are four connections operated by Wizz Air from Aqaba, a resort on the Red Sea. Which routes will be restored? Media reports say that these include Bucharest and Sofia, but Wizz Air is also set to resume flights from Aqaba to Warsaw and Katowice.
The Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat, has announced that the 18 routes from Jordan to Europe mentioned above will be resumed between the end of September this year and the end of March 2026. When will Wizz Air routes from Aqaba to Poland return? This is not known. At this point, the Hungarian airline has not commented on the Jordanian reports, but we can expect that the routes will indeed be resumed in the next few months, unless there are additional obstacles to the resumption of flights.
