Wizz Air is suspending all flights from Gdańsk to Madeira and Tenerife from the beginning of June until the end of September.
This is a disaster for thousands of tourists from Poland. A few days ago, Wizz Air removed all flights from Gdańsk to Madeira and Tenerife from its schedule. Flights from Gdańsk to Madeira will be suspended from 4 June to 20 September, and from Gdańsk to Tenerife from 6 June to (as late as!) 27 October. This is terrible news for travellers who have already booked hotels and attractions at their destination and are now unable to find a good alternative to their original flight. Why has Wizz Air cancelled these routes? It is optimising its network – the airline is abandoning longer flights, which are more attractive in the winter season, in favour of shorter holiday routes with greater sales potential.
