Uber's new service in South Africa will allow tourists to take an African safari at a lower cost.
Uber, known for its city-based transportation services, is introducing an exciting new offering in South Africa. From now on, users of the app will be able to book a full-day safari from Cape Town to Aquila Private Game Reserve, a popular wildlife reserve about two hours' drive from the South African capital.
Aquila Private Game Reserve is an ideal destination for safari enthusiasts, where travellers will transfer from Uber cars to traditional safari vehicles once they arrive. This will give them the opportunity to go in search of wild animals such as lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffalo
Uber's offer is not only convenient but also affordable. The cost of a full-day trip is $200, and this price includes a ride from Cape Town to the reserve, participation in the safari, lunch, a champagne toast and free time in the reserve. Importantly, the vehicle can accommodate up to four people, making the offer even more attractive for families and groups of friends.
The tour can be booked directly on the Uber app up to 90 days in advance. The safari will be available from 4 October until 25 January 2025
