The Thai government has decided to change its entry policy and reduce the visa-free stay from 60 to 30 days for citizens of 93 countries around the world.
The Thai government, through its Ministry of Tourism and Sports, has announced changes to its visa policy. The visa-free stay in Thailand will be shortened by half, from 60 to 30 days. The change will affect citizens of 93 countries. The official date of implementation has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be revealed soon. What is the reason for the change? Thailand is struggling with illegal workers and travelers conducting illegal business activities, who, thanks to the extended visa-free stay, have caused statistically greater damage to the local economy than before the introduction of visa policy concessions.
