SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) has decided to bring back business class on their European routes after more than 10 years.

From 1 October this year, SAS will resume offering business class on regional European flights. Ticket sales for business class on short- and medium-haul flights will begin on 6 May. This marks a return after a 12-year break, when SAS replaced business class with a better economy class called SAS Plus in 2013. In a press release, SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) announced what passengers can expect in the new-old business class:

  • An upgraded culinary experience: ‘A new food and beverage concept with a more exclusive and flexible dining experience, including the highest quality reusable tableware to meet the diverse needs of business class travellers.’
  • Dedicated space on the plane: ‘The front of the plane for business class travellers, separated by a curtain and overhead divider.’
  • Blocked middle seat: ‘providing more space and privacy.’
  • Priority treatment on site: ‘priority boarding, boarding and access to more business lounges, ensuring a seamless premium travel experience from start to finish.’
