Katowice Airport is recording record results. November turned out to be the best 11th month in the history of the airport — the Wojciech Korfanty Airport in Pyrzowice handled as many as 408,000 passengers.
Although the summer season has come to an end, traffic at the airport in Pyrzowice remains exceptionally intense. In November, 408,000 travelers passed through the terminals of the Katowice airport, which represents a significant 16 percent increase year-on-year. It is these figures that make the current autumn season one of the best in history.
Katowice Airport continues its dynamic growth throughout the year. From January to the end of November, the airport has already served almost 6.9 million passengers, confirming the growing popularity of both charter and regular flights.
The steady increase in the number of passengers served strengthens Katowice Airport's position as one of the key airports in Poland. The airport in Pyrzowice traditionally records excellent results in holiday traffic, but this year's statistics show that it can also attract record numbers of passengers outside the season.
