Wizz Air will launch new routes from Gdańsk Airport. From December, we will be able to fly to Poprad in the Slovakian Tatra Mountains, and from May next year to Athens, Tallinn, Nice and Vilnius.
What are the details of the new routes? The first route to be launched will be from Gdańsk to Poprad in northern Slovakia. Flights to the Slovakian Tatra Mountains to the airport with the familiar-sounding name of Poprad-Zakopane-Tatry will operate twice a week: on Thursdays and Sundays until the end of March. This is excellent news for passengers from Pomerania, who will gain a direct connection to the beautiful Slovakian Tatra Mountains and, as the name suggests, a better option for travelling to Zakopane than a long car journey. It is an ideal opportunity to plan a skiing trip, especially as tickets start at €33 for a return flight.
In May 2026, Wizz Air will base another aircraft in Gdańsk and launch four more connections: to Athens (from 1 May, three times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), Tallinn (from 1 May, five times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays), Nice (from 2 May, four times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays) and Vilnius (from 2 May, four times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).
