Wizz Air moves its Sofia connection from Modlin to Chopin Airport

In June 2026, Wizz Air will launch direct flights from Wrocław and Katowice to Ohrid in North Macedonia. Flights to Lake Ohrid will operate twice a week: on Mondays and Fridays.
This is surprisingly great news among flights from Poland. Finally, we will be able to fly to North Macedonia cheaply! Wizz Air has announced the launch of flights from Poland to Ohrid. The connection to Lake Ohrid, the real gem of North Macedonia, will start in June 2026: 7 June from Wrocław and 8 June from Katowice. The routes will be seasonal and will operate throughout the summer season until the second half of September, with two flights a week: on Mondays and Fridays from Katowice and on Wednesdays and Sundays from Wrocław.
Ohrid is a city in south-western North Macedonia, located on Lake Ohrid near the picturesque Galichica Mountains. It is one of the most beautiful cities on the map of Macedonia, with crystal clear water, great food and low prices. The new routes from Poland to Ohrid are a great opportunity to plan your holiday in this region of Europe in advance.
